The National Guard deploys on numerous contingency operations all over the world in support of national defense requirements.

Often, these deployments create difficult financial situations for Guard members and their families. During their time of need, they may be eligible for assistance from the Connecticut National Guard Foundation, Inc

The Army and Air National Guard has units in 2,800 communities in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, and Virgin Islands. National Guard units are organized, trained and equipped to the same standards as the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force
