RUN & WALK
November 4, 2006
The Hartford Marathon Foundation proudly presented a special
event to support our Connecticut National Guard Soldiers. Airmen and their
families.
The race featured a new downtown Hartford course, great
volunteer support, and a spectacular finish inside the State Armory.
All proceeds benefited the Connecticut National Guard
Foundation, Inc.
1st Co GFG – The 1st
Company Governors Foot Guard provided the Color Guard for the Opening Ceremony.
Lined up for – Over 200 runners lined up on
Broad Street in anticipation of the start of the race.

Governors Foot Guard Color Guard lined up as the participants got ready to run.
The overall winner was Marco Lopes of
Naugatuck, CT with a winning time of 18 minutes and 13 seconds.
